how it splits you set this, as the lead

here’s what each of you gets, straight to your own bank, 1–3 days after the show.
one fee, and you decide who pays it
tikit takes 5% + $2 per paid ticket. that covers card processing too. no monthly or setup fees.
- buyer pays it (the default): the fee is shown up front and added at checkout, so fans see one all-in price and you get your full ticket price.
- or you cover it, on any event: fans pay exactly your ticket price and the fee comes out of your side.
- free events are free. no fee on $0 tickets.
- tips are 100% yours. we never take a cut of a tip.
- paid 1–3 days after the show, to your own bank. co-hosts get their own share directly.

the stuff people ask first
what does tikit cost?
5% + $2 per paid ticket, and that includes card processing. free events cost nothing, and there are no monthly or setup fees. by default the buyer pays the fee: it’s shown up front and added at checkout, so you keep your full ticket price. you can switch any event to cover the fee yourself, and then fans pay exactly your listed price.
do buyers pay extra fees at checkout?
by default, yes. the service fee (5% + $2 a ticket) is shown on the event page before checkout and added to the ticket price, so the organizer keeps their full price. an organizer can switch any event to cover the fee themselves, and then buyers pay exactly the listed price with nothing added.
how and when do I get paid?
each person is paid their own share straight to their own bank, 1–3 days after the show. nobody collects the whole pot and pays everyone else back. tips go to the main organizer in full.
can I sell VIP, early-bird and general admission for the same show?
yes. add as many ticket types as you like, each with its own price, its own cap and its own on-sale window. a tier closes itself when it sells out or when its window ends.
can I split the money with the band, the venue or a promoter?
yes. add them to the event as co-hosts, and the lead organizer sets the split: even, custom %, or a guarantee (one person takes the first $X off the top to cover costs, then the percentages split the rest). each co-host sees only their own share (only the lead organizer sees the whole split) and gets an email if it changes. they can tap “looks good” if they like, but nothing waits on it: only a change request pauses a payout, until the split is revised. the split locks when the doors open, and each person is paid their share directly.
do co-hosts split the tips too?
no. tips go in full to the main organizer and are never split.
do my fans need an account?
no. they buy as a guest with a card in seconds. if they sign up later with the same email, their tickets are already there.
can I edit an event after it’s published and selling?
yes. change the date, time, venue, prices, caps and description on a live event, with no reposting and no dead links. editing locks once the event has ended.
how do people get in the door?
every ticket is emailed with the buyer’s name, a QR code and a calendar link. at the door you check people in by name from your guest list, printed or on your phone.
my venue already has a website and calendar. does that matter?
not at all. put the tikit widget on your site, or we can mirror your existing calendar so your shows appear on tikit too.
who owns the buyer list?
you do. download it any time. fans who follow you get your announcements about new shows, not someone else’s.
got a date in mind?
list it yourself in a couple of minutes, or let us walk you through it.
