Introduction

Welcome to Tikit.live, owned and operated by Awen LLC (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”). Tikit.live is a ticketing platform that lets independent venues, artists, and promoters (“organizers”) sell tickets to their events. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices concerning the collection, use, sharing, and protection of your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

1.1. Personal Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Information organizers give us. If an organizer invites you to an event, the organizer may give us your name and email address from their own contacts so we can deliver that invitation for them.

1.2. Payment Information

If you make a payment on Tikit.live, we may collect payment details, such as credit card information. We use a third-party payment processor, Stripe, to process payments securely. We do not store or directly handle payment information.

1.3. Usage Data

  • Cookies: We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about how you use our website, including your browsing behavior and preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To provide our services: We use your information to deliver the services offered on Tikit.live, including processing your ticket orders and sending you order confirmations, receipts, and event updates (such as time changes, cancellations, or reminders) for events you have tickets to.
  • To improve our services: We may analyze data to enhance and optimize our website and user experience.
  • To send event communications and marketing: When you buy a ticket to an event hosted by an organizer, or when you choose to “follow” an organizer on Tikit.live, we may send you email about that organizer’s future events. We send these messages ourselves, as the sender, on the organizer’s behalf. We may also email you about Tikit.live itself, such as product updates, other events, and offers. Every marketing email identifies us, includes our postal mailing address, and offers a one-click way to stop following that specific organizer or to unsubscribe from all Tikit.live marketing. You can also manage these preferences at any time in your account. We honor opt-out requests promptly, and within the time limits required by law.
  • To deliver organizer invitations: When an organizer sends event invitations through Tikit.live, we use the contact details they provide only to send those invitations, record opt-outs, and keep delivery working (for example, removing addresses that bounce). We do not add imported contacts to Tikit.live’s own marketing lists.
  • To respond to you: We may use your contact information to respond to your inquiries and provide support.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share your personal information only as described in this Privacy Policy, and only with:

  • Event Organizers: When you buy a ticket, claim a free ticket, or RSVP to an event, the organizer of that event, including any co-organizers, receives your name, email address, phone number (if you provided one), and order details (such as the tickets and ticket type you chose, the amount you paid, any tip, and when you ordered). Organizers also see reports about their events, such as sales, page views, and where visitors came from. Organizers use this information to run their events, for example to manage the guest list, check you in, contact you about the event, and, where the law allows, tell you about their future events. Tikit.live also keeps this information and may use it as described in section 2, including to email you about that organizer’s future events and about Tikit.live itself. You can opt out of either at any time.

Once an organizer has your information, their use of it is covered by their own privacy practices, not this policy. Our terms require organizers to use it lawfully and to honor your opt-out requests, but we do not control what an organizer does with information after it has been shared with them. If you have questions about how an organizer uses your information, contact the organizer.

  • Contacts organizers import: Organizers can upload their own contact lists to send invitations through Tikit.live. We handle those contacts on the organizer’s behalf and on their instructions. The organizer, not Tikit.live, decided to contact you and is responsible for having your permission to do so.
  • Service Providers: We may use third-party service providers to support our services, such as email delivery providers, payment processors, and analytics services. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information to comply with applicable laws or regulations, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

4. Your Choices

You have certain rights and choices regarding your personal information:

  • Marketing and follow preferences: You can stop following any individual organizer, or unsubscribe from all Tikit.live marketing email, at any time. Use the links at the bottom of any marketing email, or manage your preferences in your account. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about tickets you have purchased (such as receipts, reminders, or cancellation notices).
  • Event invitations: Every organizer invitation sent through Tikit.live includes a link to stop receiving them. Once you use it, we will not deliver organizer invitations to that address again, even if an organizer uploads it later. This does not affect receipts, reminders, or notices about tickets you already hold.
  • Access: You can request access to your personal information.
  • Correction: You can update or correct your information.
  • Deletion: You can request the deletion of your personal information, subject to legal requirements.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: You can withdraw your consent to processing where applicable.

5. Security

We implement security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. However, no data transmission over the internet is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
